I expect that there will be much in that budget request that Members will want to discuss today and in subsequent Committee hearings. Yet the FY 09 budget request is not just a collection of funding levels and program descriptions. Rather, it defines the Administration's priorities for NASA and its vision for what NASA should be doing in the coming years.

Warren board awards $55.1 million bid for middle, high school

The Warren County Board of Education awarded the construction bid for the new Joseph Warren Middle and High School to Lexington-based D.W. Wilburn.The timetable for completing the school at Rich Pond and Nashville roads is now August 2010.The board unanimously approved the base bid of $55.1 million.Kenny Stanfield of Sherman-Carter-Barnhart, the architectural firm whose plans call for the two schools to be housed in one large building, said he knows the school system is used to having a half-dozen bidders, but only two contractors are able to handle projects this large. The only other bid - for $60.9 million - came from Hardaway Construction in Nashville.When comparing the two, Wilburn's bid came in lower, and "they're ready to get started," Stanfield said.The project was originally estimated to cost about $50 million."This bid is actually the second lowest of the last six projects we've done since 2006," said Chairwoman Teresa Lowe.

Bordering on progress

The understanding given to New Delhi was that the line of demarcation would not go through the populated areas. It meant that China had moved away from its claim on Arunachal in the northeast. I wouldn't call a BMW 3-series luxury. My mom's 2007 Camry has better interior materials and comfort, in my oppinion. I could never help but notice the engine noise and ride in a 3-series, and I'm sure a deisel spec wouldn't be any quieter.As said, the BMW is also in a different price class. You might potentially get more MPG compared to some hybrids, but you'll pay more, thousands more. The resale value of a BMW 3-series is staggeringly low (compared to a 5 or 7 series) and the performance of even the Prius is sure to best the BMW Deisel in acceleration and braking due to the Prius's substantial weight advantage. .
